What Can Trigger A Heart Attack?

Most of the time, it may be difficult to tell if you are going to get a heart attack or not. As frightening as this may seem, it's not completely unavoidable to detect one before it arrives. In the onset of a heart attack, there are preventative measures you can take to look out for certain triggers. Here are four surprising heart attack triggers.

Overexertion

This one seems intuitive. If you pull a rough workout after being sedentary for several years, your heart may end up blowing a gasket. Curtis Rimmerman of Cardiovascular Medicine at Cleveland Clinic suggested avoiding physical exercise that is too strenuous to avoid overexertion. Having preexisting conditions, or a predisposition, such as high blood pressure, cholesterol, heart disease or even diabetes can double the risk. Play safe.

The Cold

Being out in the cold can be a heart attack trigger because extremely low temperatures force the arteries to constrict and increases blood pressure. If you overexert yourself outside on a cold day, such as shoveling snow, you may very well be putting yourself at a risk for a heart attack. According to Dr. Rimmerman, shoveling snow is the cause of over 11,000 heart-related hospital deaths.

Emotional Outbursts

Being too emotional can put you at risk for a heart attack because emotions have a strong influence over the electrical currents generated to the heart. This doesn't always involve bad emotions, but it can also involve good emotions. Any emotion that is on the extreme of either side, such as extreme elation or despair. Anger, however, stood out the most as a leading cause in heart attacks in a scientific study.

Large Meal

Eating too much food can put you at risk for a heart attack, but especially if it's particularly heavy. Eating heavy foods increases the hormone norepinephrine, which tends to make blood pressure go up. High blood pressure often leads to a heart attack. Not only overindulgent food but too much alcohol and caffeine can also put someone at risk.

Holiday Stress

I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it’s very much true that more Americans die of fatal heart attacks during the holidays than any other time of year.

In fact, the top three heart attack days of the year are December 25th and 26th, and January 1st.

Between the stress of the holidays AND the overindulging, it’s super important to be taking care of yourself right now.

To help aid you in protecting your heart, it’s crucial that you are taking our DPA packed Physio Omega.

A 32,000 person study done by Harvard revealed that those with the most DPA in their bloodstream had both the healthiest hearts, AND the lowest risk of heart attack.

From now until December 19th, you can get 4 bottles of Physio Omega for just $99. And FREE shipping.

(We sell Physio Omega on our website all day long for $67/bottle normally.)
